In Los Angeles he held the position as president and CEO for Workmen’s Insurance Group, from 1997 to 2004. In addition, he has held management positions of Vice President of Claims, Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President. He also held the positions of Assistant Vice President/Regional Claim Manager for J.C. Penney Casualty Insurance Company and Vice President of claims for Columbia Mutual Insurance Group. Mr. Sharp’s experience includes management of all aspects of insurance related issues and claim handling, with an emphasis on methods and procedures, including internal controls, as well as establishing clearly defined claims protocol. In addition, he is well versed in the IT arena, specifically in regards to automated claim handling functions, as well as automated underwriting functions in a paper free/ imaged environment.
